En el congreso de “Dust or Magic 2013”, Lee Paso a Paso fue incluída dentro de la lista de apps educativas a considerar en el análisis que realiza anualmente el congreso. Para nosotros, esta distinción fue un honor y agradecemos enormemente el hecho de estar dentro de la lista.
Esto nos obliga a redoblar esfuerzos para continuar haciendo apps de ese nivel o mejor.
“Lee Paso a Paso” is the perfect app for kids that are learning how to read in Spanish. I wish this had been available when my daughter was ready to start learning, but now I can use it with my son.

Learning to read can be difficult, and sometimes as parents, we are unsure of exactly how to support our kids’ developing reading skills. That’s why having fun apps to assist us can make us feel more confident and even give us brand-new ideas for learning activities. Lee paso a paso and Lee paso a paso 2 are two great resources to have on your iPhone or iPad for those moments when reading practice with your child becomes a chore.
The first app (Lee Paso a Paso) focuses on matching syllables to pictures to form an entire word and counting syllables. For each letter, children practice beginning sounds as the app continuously asks which of three pictures begins with the given sound. This activity really makes the app multi-step and thus appropriately challenging for a child who already knows basic letter sounds but is in the process of learning to piece them together.
The second app (Lee Paso a Paso 2) is a bit harder. You must form an entire word by choosing the correct sequence of syllables. It’s like a memory game, confirming your choices with matching pictures. As you increase in level, you have more sounds to choose from.
Using these two apps to complement each other will ready your child for more advanced Spanish reading and perhaps relieve some pressure on days when reading seems too daunting a task.

About “Lee Paso a Paso”: “Dora The Explorer” has nothing on this app. Kids can learn 580 common Spanish words through a series of multiple-choice quizzes. It is geared towards kids of all levels — children who speak Spanish as a first language and beginners alike can get something out of it.

Today\’s app was recommended by a reader. Lee Paso a Paso is available in a free Lite version, or a more comprehensive version available for purchase here. I would recommend you download the free version and see if you like it, first. I don\’t have any experience with it, but I wanted to share it with those of you looking for Spanish educational apps. You made it pretty clear on FB that you want Spanish apps that are interactive and require thinking on your child\’s part. So I thought the best way to do this feature was to share the developer\’s explanation of the app and let you be the judge.
