Educational games for children that collect no personal information. No accounts, no third-party ads, no third-party code and no in-app purchases in the School Edition apps.
Our commitments
- The School Edition apps collect no personal information from students and receive no education records.
- They work without accounts, sign-in or registration, and they work fully offline.
- Any progress or settings stay in the app’s own sandbox on the device. BQWare never receives them.
- They contain no third-party software development kits (SDKs): no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or social media code.
- They show no third-party advertising. Some screens promote other BQWare apps; these sit behind a parental gate (adding two numbers) and open that app’s page on the App Store. The only link to our website is the Privacy Policy link; the apps also link to Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Both links sit behind the parental gate and are included following Apple’s App Store guidelines.
- They have no in-app purchases.
- The only way information can leave the device is the optional email feature in Things to Learn School Edition, described below. The user chooses the recipient, and BQWare receives nothing.
- We do not sell, share or use student data, because we do not have any.
Apps covered
Lee Paso a Paso School Edition, Lee Paso a Paso 2 School Edition, Lee Paso a Paso 3 School Edition, Lee Paso a Paso con Beto School Edition, Ortografía Paso a Paso School Edition, Brinca Palabras School Edition, Sopa de Sílabas School Edition, Syllable Word Search School Edition and Things to Learn School Edition.
Things to Learn School Edition is not in the Kids category. It lets the user create tests and send their results by email. The test names are typed by the user, and the results are created and stored only in the app’s sandbox on the device. They leave the device only when the user chooses to send them by email, to the address the user chooses. BQWare does not receive, store or process them. Because the user decides what to type and where to send the results, schools should decide whether test names may include student information. The user types the recipient’s email address in the app; the app does not read it from the device’s settings or accounts. The email is then sent through the device’s own mail composer, from the user’s own mail account.

How districts can approve BQWare
- Use our statement. Attach the Statement of No Student Data Collection to your review. Your district decides whether it is enough.
- Sign a Data Privacy Agreement. If your district requires one, we can sign the standard National Data Privacy Agreement from the Student Data Privacy Consortium. Because we collect no student data, the data-element exhibit lists none.
- Send your own template. Email it to privacy@bqware.com with your district name and state, and we will review it.
Requirements differ by state. If your state has its own addendum, send it and we will review it.
